High-Density Polyethylene or HDPE is an engineering plastic that is employed extensively in the packaging industry. CNC machining in HDPE can also be used to create mponents for the nstruction, electrical, and automotive industries, among others. HDPE has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, as well as good chemical and moisture resistance.
Jul 07, 2020 · CNC HDPE machining has lots of challenges but plays an irreplaceable role in precise, intricate parts production, before choosing a material for your product or starting production, learn about HDPE properties and uses, High-density polyethylene definition, as well as how to CNC machine HDPE. What is High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)?
May 25, 2016 · I'm cutting 1/2" hdpe plastic with .250 2 flute endmill. I'm running a series of cuts at different speeds and feeds to find the best surface results with least burrs. The spindle has a max of 24000. My chip load per tooth range is .005-.008. When calculating feeds, should I use a higher chip load with higher spindle speed, or the opposite?
