Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene sheet (UHMWPE or UHMW) is a sheet made of thermoplastic polyethylene chemical material, which usually has a high molecular weight of over 1.5 million. UHMWPE board has incredible wear resistance. Its wear resistance almost exceeds that of any engineering plastics, and it may be one of the best materials for lining chutes and hoppers of sand, aggregate and concrete or any other high-wear mobile products.
Another important feature is that its friction coefficient is very low. UHMWPE plastic sheet will produce parts with long life and low resistance, which means that few things will stick to it. It can also resist many dilute acids, solvents and detergents. UHMWPE board is very tough and has high impact strength in any thermoplastic currently manufactured.
